This book, The Secret Holocaust Diaries by Nonna Bannister is a reminder and an actual account of things that happened in Russia and Germany during and just before WWII. This book tells us about a good family who had a comfortable life in Russia. Nonna tells us about her family and about the wonderful times she had growing up and enjoying her life as all children should. Great turmoil was going on in the government and the years of Stalin changed everything for the people of Russia. The author kept these secret diaries to herself until her own children were grown. She didn't want her husband and children to be saddened by the atrocities that she had witnessed and endured.

I cannot say how much I recommend this book to everyone. This book is one that I will re-read many more times. Nonna's diaries will stay with me for years to come. I thank her husband and family for getting this book out for us to read and learn from. Forgiveness and the love of God are such an important part of this woman's life. We should all read her words and never forget her life and what she endured at the hands of corrupted governments.
